I’m McKayla —
the artist behind Beyond Pine. I’m a mom, designer, photographer, videographer, and branding creative, living on the northern plains. Life here is rooted in family, wide open skies, and the beautiful chaos of raising small humans on our farm. I love the simple joys of a life lived close to the land.
What inspires me most are conversations that help someone recognize their gift and see the possibility of bringing it to life. I believe we’re all born with something beautiful inside us, but too often it gets buried under the weight of life. Helping others uncover that purpose fills me with joy — and in return, art takes form.
That’s the heart behind Beyond Pine: collections and designs shaped by heritage, family, and place — created to connect, to endure, and to remind us of what matters most.
Hello
How I create
My art begins with what I feel around me. Sometimes it’s a painting, a drawing, or a photo. Other times it’s sparked by a simple conversation or even the kindness in someone’s smile as I pass by.
Every piece is a reflection of my soul, but also of the people who cross my path — the way they make me feel, and the beauty that lingers long after the moment is gone. My collections grow from those sparks of connection, carrying both personal memory and shared experience into patterns that are meant to be lived with.
Beyond Pine in Practice
My work is licensed for apparel, home goods, and lifestyle products — story-driven designs ready to be carried into daily life. Whether it’s bedding, clothing, or a simple keepsake, each piece is meant to carry meaning and spark a light within you.
—I’d love to hear from you — whether you’re an art director, a fellow creative, or someone who feels a connection to my work.

Begin with People
Art starts in what surrounds us — in a pause between words, in a glimpse of the sun, in the spark of someone’s passion. Those are the moments I hold onto, because they carry memory, resilience, and truth.
Beyond Pine was created to give those moments life — to honor where we’ve been while reflecting the beauty of connection in the present.
What begins quietly finds its strength in time.
