Northern Plains Stitch is a pattern rooted in family, heritage, and the quiet beauty of the Northern Plains.

At the heart of the design is a stitch motif inspired by a 100-year-old handmade quilt created by my grandmother. I brought that piece of family history together with botanicals reminiscent of the Northern Plains landscape—garden dill, roses, pasture grasses, and the small, unexpected flowers and grasses that grow throughout the countryside.

The result is a warm, earthy pattern that feels both heirloom and modern. Its repeating floral medallions have the character of handwork and traditional textiles, while the rich brown palette gives it a grounded, understated presence in the home.

Northern Plains Stitch is especially beautiful in Western, rustic, prairie, farmhouse, cottage, and heritage-inspired interiors, pairing naturally with warm woods, woven baskets, linen, leather, and other organic textures.
